Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the website sintbot.com, the open-source cc-bot software, and the optional SintBot Pro subscription. By using the site or subscribing, you agree to these terms.

The service

Two different pieces of software are covered here, under two different licenses.

cc-bot is free, open-source software released under the MIT License and provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. It stays that way.

sintbot — the standalone daemon delivered with SintBot Pro — is not open source. It ships as readable source so you can audit what runs on your machines, under a proprietary, source-available license: while your subscription is active you may run and modify it on up to three devices you own or control, for your own or your organization's internal use, but you may not redistribute, publish, resell, or host it for third parties. Any version you received may be kept and used indefinitely. The full text ships with the software as its LICENSE file.

A SintBot Pro subscription supports the project's development and entitles you to request the current sintbot package. It is provided as is: the subscription does not include support response times, onboarding, updates, new versions, or new features, and we make no commitment to provide them.

Subscription & billing

SintBot Pro is billed at $19.90 USD per month. Payment is collected by Creem, which acts as the Merchant of Record and seller of record for the transaction. You can cancel anytime from the Creem customer portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled under Creem's policy: creem.io/refund-policy — or email support@sintbot.com for refund requests.

Acceptable Use Policy

By using sintbot.com, the cc-bot software, or the SintBot Pro subscription, you agree not to use the service, in part or in whole, to:

• Engage in any unlawful, fraudulent, or deceptive activity, or violate any applicable law or regulation;
• Generate, transmit, request, store, or facilitate sexually explicit content, NSFW material, pornography, or child sexual abuse material (CSAM);
• Generate or transmit content that harasses, threatens, defames, or discriminates against any individual or group on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any protected characteristic;
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system, network, account, or data;
• Distribute malware, viruses, ransomware, or other malicious code;
• Send unsolicited bulk messages, spam, or phishing content;
• Infringe on intellectual property rights, privacy rights, publicity rights, or other rights of third parties;
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise extract the source code of any proprietary component of the service;
• Use the service to build or train a competing product without prior written consent.

Violation of this Acceptable Use Policy may result in immediate suspension or termination of your subscription without refund and, where required by law, referral to relevant authorities. We reserve the right to investigate and act on suspected violations.

Disclaimer & limitation of liability

The software and service are provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the software or service. Our total cumulative liability is limited to the amount you have paid in subscription fees.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
